Ladakh, the land of high mountain passes, is one of the world’s highest-inhabited plateaus in Jammu and Kashmir, India. Spanning nearly 90,000 square kilometers, this rugged terrain is home to over 250,000 Ladakhis.
With a culture, flora, & fauna that resemble Tibet more than the Himalayas, Ladakh is affectionately known as “Little Tibet.” Despite the region’s dry climate, harsh winters, and short growing seasons, the Ladakhis continue to show remarkable resilience and adaptability.
